Personality: Their personality is basically the same as when they were in high school (see HERE), ie: arrogant/confident, also very uncooperative.
Unlike in high school, They're much more noticeably exhausted and disenchanted with life in general as an adult; also seems completely uninterested in socializing and meeting new people (whereas before they would find entertainment in talking to people even though they had no interest in making friends)
Backstory
Performing and singing is Lafayette's main source of income as an adult. They work with their booking agent Hari to help them find theater/singing gigs--the two of them usually travel around having Lafayette perform in various clubs (?) with other indie artist. Lafayette’s not particularly famous, but they're still successful enough to be self-sustaining and also have a decent online following.
As time goes on, performing becomes an increasingly exhausting task for Lafayette to do regularly--the more they perform with others, the more they're forced to acknowledge that their narcissistic attitude turns coworkers and potential fans away. Not wanting to reflect on their personality and fed up with isolation stemming bad relationships with coworkers, Lafayette ends up ditching their agent without any notice and on impulse decides to move in with their childhood friend Dmitri (whom they haven't had contact with in several years).
Their time living with and reconnecting with Dmitri is one of the primary focuses for Lafayette's plot.
